The film in theaters was unsuccessful, however it enjoyed an initial success on the cable market and on DVD. Ward was on screen in Shallow Hal in the year following, in which she played a supportive role. Also, she has appeared in a variety of direct-to-DVD films as well as guest roles in various TV shows particularly Friends. In 2009she got the part of Chloe Kmet kothe mother of an unnamed gymna in the ABC Family drama series Make It or Break It as a member of the cast in the series' first two seasons.
